Wine tasting at Chiorri
We had a fabulous day sampling Chiorri's fantastic range of wines and anti pasti. Their Ventorosa Umbrian rose will be available from Vinaceous very shortly.
Chiorri was founded in 1890 in Sant'Enea, a small village near Perugia and not far from our little house in Umbria, the green heart of Italy. Family run for five generations, the Umbrian wine making tradition is in their blood.
We chose the Ventorosa rose as it is made from 100% Sagrantino, my favourite local grape, and is an amazing intense colour as well as having a lovely fresh fruity taste. I'm really looking forward to enjoying this as I relax in the garden now that the evenings are getting lighter and the weather finally seems to be warming up!
Thanks to Francesco and Marta for making our experience so memorable and enjoyable.
